The University of Pittsburgh is committed to protecting our community and campus—and providing the necessary resources, tools, and information for our students, faculty, and staff to stay safe. One important resource is the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report. The report can be found online at safety.pitt.edu.
The website and report provide campus and personal safety information, including crime prevention and fire safety information, crime reporting policies, Title IX procedures, and more. The report also contains crime statistics for the three previous calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain non-campus buildings, on non-campus property owned or controlled by the University of Pittsburgh, and on public property within the campus or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.
If you would like to have a paper copy of the report mailed to you, please call 412-624-4040. You also can pick one up at the University of Pittsburgh Police Department in the Jerome Cochran Public Safety Building, located at 3412 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213, during normal business hours.
